BRAND IDENTITY
CULTURALLY DEFINED
Designed at ZAK
Culturally Defined is an adult-focused Vancouver dance studio rooted in community, growth and above all - a good fucking time.
It balances rigorous training with one of the most inviting and supportive communities. Offering a space where creativity, personal growth, and movement come together in a setting that feels both grounded and welcoming.
At ZAK, I had the opportunity to help shape the brand’s refreshed visual identity—from strategy and concept through to final execution. Working alongside an incredible team, we built an identity that feels energetic, human, and unapologetically real.
The visual system reflects the rhythm of dance culture itself: expressive, layered, and full of movement.
Handwritten textures, gritty photo treatments, and a bold type system mirror the individuality of CD’s community and the raw energy of the Clubhouse.
Every brand element was designed to resonate with those ready to push their limits, find their people, and celebrate progress—on and off the dance floor.
The result is an identity that doesn’t just represent a studio, but a lifestyle: one that invites you to show up as you are, and leave a little bolder than before. It’s a reflection of the culture Culturally Defined has built—where growth, connection, and self-expression take center stage.
